Basketball Recap: South Laurel Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

South Laurel and North Laurel faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. The South Laurel Cardinals came out on top against the North Laurel Jaguars by a score of 49-41. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 75-63 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

South Laurel's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for North Laurel, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

South Laurel will take on Montgomery County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Montgomery County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully South Laurel likes a good challenge. As for North Laurel, they will square off against Oneida Baptist Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
