Hardin extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping them up to 6-0. They put the hurt on the East Chambers Buccaneers with a sharp 43-21 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Having lost for the first time this season, East Chambers fell to 4-1. The loss was their first of the season.

East Chambers' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JD Zurby, who threw for 115 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 46 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hardin will take on rival Buna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Chambers is set to challenge their familiar foe Anahuac at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th.
