Softball Recap: Holtville Has No Trouble Against Brewbaker Tech

Holtville was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Brewbaker Tech on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Rams 12-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

Brooke Findley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Findley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Bailea Boone was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Kylie Snowden was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Holtville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brewbaker Tech only managed three hits.

Holtville's record is now 16-11-1. As for Brewbaker Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holtville will host Maplesville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brewbaker Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Marbury at 6:00 p.m.
