Basketball Game Preview: Twin Lakes Indians vs. Harrison Raiders

Twin Lakes and Harrison are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Twin Lakes Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Harrison Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Twin Lakes has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 15.

Last Tuesday, Twin Lakes came up short against West Lafayette and fell 46-39.

Meanwhile, Harrison also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Lafayette Jefferson by a score of 39-29. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Bronchos are ranked 32nd).

Twin Lakes will need focus on slowing down Elsie Ahnert, one of several Harrison players who made an impact when they last played. She posted six points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Ahnert has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Harrison's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Twin Lakes, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Twin Lakes took a serious blow against Harrison in their previous matchup back in November, falling 72-41. Can Twin Lakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
