Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 66-33 loss at the hands of the Frenchtown Broncs. Hamilton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Frenchtown apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Canaan Magness, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 60.6% of Hamilton's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaeden Gum, who put up three points.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Frenchtown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Hamilton will head out on the road to face off against Corvallis at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frenchtown, they will take on Beaverhead County at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
