Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Godwin). They secured a 71-66 W over the Deep Run Wildcats on Friday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Godwin's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-5. As for Deep Run, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Godwin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Matoaca at 7:15 p.m. As for Deep Run, they and Manchester will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
