Central Sierra (8 Man) recap Oct. 9, 2012

Kings Christian suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after losing to Desert Christian Academy. The Crusaders had been ranked 25th, but fell to 26 following the defeat.

Northwest Christian extended the longest winning streak in Central Sierra (8 Man) this week by beating Riverdale Christian, 75-22. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Guardians.

Faith Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joshsua Johansson has thrown for 510 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Alex Tamayo has 20 catches for 279 yards. Tamayo leads the league in rushing with 368 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Northwest Christian takes on second place Kings Christian. Northwest Christian topped Riverdale Christian last week, while Kings Christian fell to the Conquerors.

Jeremy Trammell's team led Central Sierra (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 75 points on Riverdale Christian.
