Softball Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss

St. Francis extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 2-6 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milwaukee Reagan Huskies. If the Mariners were looking for revenge after losing 12-9 to the Huskies when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Milwaukee Reagan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

For Milwaukee Reagan's part, Mya Merced was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will challenge Milwaukee School of Languages at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milwaukee Reagan, they will be playing at home against Hamilton/Audubon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Milwaukee Reagan is facing Hamilton/Audubon at the right time seeing as Hamilton/Audubon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
