Charlotte Latin waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They came out on top against the Mallard Creek Mavericks by a score of 7-2. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mavericks, too.

Jackson Coble tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Avery Booker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Shoup, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Charlotte Latin's record now sits at 15-2. As for Mallard Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Charlotte Latin will challenge Cox Mill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Mallard Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against West Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
