Preview: Terrell Academy Eagles vs. Frederica Academy
After each having a week off, the Terrell Academy Eagles and Frederica Academy will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Terrell Academy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Terrell Academy was the victim of a tough 34-14 defeat at the hands of Tiftarea Academy. Terrell Academy was down 27-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Terrell Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Quindon Wright, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Frederica Academy took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-13 win over St. Andrew's. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Frederica Academy.
Jordan Triplett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 298 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Triplett hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. Rico Holmes did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tiftarea Academy's victory bumped their season record to 2-7-1 while Terrell Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 6-4.
November 17th's contest might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Terrell Academy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 178.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Frederica Academy struggles in that department as they've been even better at 306.6 per game.
