Capac hasn't had much luck against Peck recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chiefs will face off against the Pirates. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Capac put up the most runs they have all season on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Cardinal Mooney Catholic with a sharp 16-1 victory. The Chiefs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2024 (when they won 16-0).

Christina Howard was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Liliana Uribe-Arce also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Capac always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Peck made easy work of Deckerville on Wednesday and carried off an 11-2 win. Considering the Pirates have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ryleigh Ureel made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning three runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Parker, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Taylor, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Capac's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Peck, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Capac might still be hurting after the 17-6 defeat they got from Peck when the teams last played on May 12th. Can the Chiefs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
