Texas School for the Deaf had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the California School for the Deaf Eagles. For the Rangers, this counts as revenge for the 16-15 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jami Haynes was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Melanie Rubinshteyn was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Texas School for the Deaf always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Texas School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for California School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.
