Basketball Recap: Epic Charter Takes a Loss

Epic Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Pawhuska Huskies and fell 82-28. The Comments were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-18.

Pawhuska's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dax Godsey led the charge by putting up nine points along with five assists and three steals. Jack Grooms also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Epic Charter's record is now 0-4. As for Pawhuska, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Epic Charter is taking a road trip to challenge Wynona at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Epic Charter is facing Wynona at the right time seeing as Wynona is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Pawhuska, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson-Henryetta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson-Henryetta will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pawhuska surely won't give up without a fight.
