California Lutheran hadn't done well against Cornerstone Christian recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The California Lutheran C-Hawks skirted past the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders 3-1. The three-run effort marked the C-Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

California Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton McGee, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

The win (which was California Lutheran's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
