Softball Recap: Liberty Center Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Liberty Center came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Otsego Knights, falling 8-2.

Macie Krugh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Aubrey Zeiter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Liberty Center's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Otsego, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5.

Coming up, Liberty Center will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. As for Otsego, they will venture away from home to face off against Genoa Area at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
