Basketball Game Preview: Dillingham Wolverines vs. Ninilchik Wolverines

Dillingham will take on Ninilchik at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dillingham will be strutting in after a victory while Ninilchik will be coming in after a loss.

Dillingham is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 50-35 win over Chevak on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Ninilchik was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 35-19 to Susitna Valley.

Ninilchik's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dillingham, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Dillingham didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Ninilchik in their previous meeting back in January of 2016, but they still walked away with a 40-36 victory. Will Dillingham repeat their success, or does Ninilchik has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
