Football Recap: Raton Tigers vs. Tucumcari Rattlers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy Academy, Raton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Tucumcari Rattlers, posting a 51-24 win at home. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Joseph Saenz went supernova for Raton, rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 114 receiving yards. Saenz also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making four total tackles. Cael Walton was another key player, gaining 111 total yards and a touchdown.
