Uwharrie Charter Academy posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Eastern Randolph Wildcats with a sharp 49-23 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 25 points or more this season.

Nevaeh Staples continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up eight points in addition to nine blocks and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Naimah Al-Arif, who posted eight points along with eight boards and three steals.

Uwharrie Charter Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Eastern Randolph lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Callie Craven, who had seven points and four steals. Craven is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.

Uwharrie Charter Academy pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Eastern Randolph, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Uwharrie Charter Academy will square off against Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern Randolph will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something Uwharrie Charter Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastern Randolph, they will take on Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Randolph is facing Trinity at the right time seeing as Trinity is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
