Softball Recap: Tri-Cities Prep Victorious

Tri-Cities Prep took a 19-run loss the last time they faced off against Goldendale, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Scarlett Reddinger was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly MacRoberts, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tri-Cities Prep's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Goldendale, their record is now 3-8.

Goldendale has already played their next matchup (against River View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tri-Cities Prep will be paying especially close attention to the Timberwolves' contest: after the Timberwolves face off against the Panthers, they'll take on Tri-Cities Prep again at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
