Volleyball Recap: Jalyn Ramsey and Kaydence Sheppard Secure Win for Ripley

Ripley not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lincoln County Panthers. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ripley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-16.

Leading Ripley to victory were Kaydence Sheppard and Jalyn Ramsey. Sheppard had three digs and two aces, while Ramsey had seven digs. That's the most digs Ramsey has posted over her last eight matches. McKenzie Durback also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Ripley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Ripley's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Lincoln County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14-1 record this season.

Ripley will welcome Capital at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln County, they will venture away from home to challenge Winfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
