Basketball Recap: Aurora Central Starts off Right with Win over Regis Groff

Aurora Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Regis Groff Fusion 36-18 on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Jamaea Johnson-Gonzales had an outrageously good game as she posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Jihanna Johnson-Gonzales, who had five points and four steals.

Aurora Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-43 win against DSST: Montview on the 4th. As for Regis Groff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-24 victory against DSST: Conservatory Green on the 10th.
