Recap: Peetz Bulldogs vs. Leyton Warriors
The Peetz Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Leyton, falling 76-17. Peetz has struggled against Leyton recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Alexis Gentry and Jaidynn Reiman certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Gentry scored ten points, while Reiman scored two points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gentry has scored all season.
Peetz dropped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.6 points per game. As for Leyton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peetz will take on Caliche at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caliche presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Peetz in Colorado (Caliche is ranked 109th, while Peetz is ranked 294th). As for Leyton, Leyton and Sedgwick County will face off on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Sedgwick County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
