Basketball Game Preview: Cocoa Tigers vs. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers

Cocoa and Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Cocoa Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cocoa is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 31st last Saturday. They were dealt a 67-35 loss at the hands of New Smyrna Beach. The Tigers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Meanwhile, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Rams 64-30.

Cocoa's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Cocoa couldn't quite finish off Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 33-30. Can Cocoa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
