Baseball Recap: Littlefield Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Littlefield can now relate to. They fell just short of the Denver City Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

The defeat snapped Littlefield's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-9 record. As for Denver City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

While Littlefield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
