Recap: Spruce Timberwolves vs. North Dallas Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Spruce Timberwolves, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were beaten by North Dallas 72-33 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Spruce can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1598th, while North Dallas is ranked 757th).
North Dallas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Johnson led the charge by scoring 13 points. Damarion Vaughn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Spruce bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for North Dallas, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spruce will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Conrad at 8:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for North Dallas, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Terrell at 7:30 p.m. Terrell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
