Soccer Game Preview: Dwyer vs. Palm Beach Central

The Dwyer Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Palm Beach Central Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dwyer will be strutting in after a victory while Palm Beach Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Dwyer's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Suncoast by a score of 2-0. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Chargers are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Central fell victim to Somerset Academy - Canyons and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 5-0 to the Cougars. The shutout was out of character for the Broncos seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Palm Beach Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Dwyer, they now have a winning record of 5-4-3.

Dwyer beat Palm Beach Central by a goal in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dwyer since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
