Softball Recap: Yorktown Tigers vs. Elwood Panthers
Yorktown took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They never let the Elwood Panthers onto the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's more bragging rights for Yorktown, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Claire Hazen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. Anna Rinker was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with a home run.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yorktown will square off against Mt. Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Pendleton Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
