Basketball Recap: Craig Victorious

While Craig has struggled at home with five straight losses, that wasn't the case on Saturday thanks to Ayden Benolken. The Craig Panthers secured a 46-42 W over the Petersburg Vikings thanks in part to Benolken, who posted 22 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Craig's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Petersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Craig will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Metlakatla at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Petersburg, they will challenge Wrangell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Petersburg is facing Wrangell at the right time seeing as Wrangell is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
