Softball Recap: Sickles Gryphons vs. Jefferson Dragons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Academy of the Holy Names, Sickles was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Jefferson Dragons with a sharp 7-0 victory. Considering the Gryphons have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Zoe Mello's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Sickles let Briana Browder and Alyssa Locicero run wild. Browder went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Locicero went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Locicero a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Morrissey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
