Scotland is a perfect 9-0 against Union Pines since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Fighting Scots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Scotland comes in on 21 and Union Pines on seven.
Scotland's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Richmond as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Fighting Scots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by nine runs or more this season.
Avery Stutts was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 22 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Addison Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Dawson Blue was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Scotland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive contests.
Hoke County typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Union Pines proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bucks by a score of 7-4.
The team relied heavily on Kileigh Cameron, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Andrews, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Scotland pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Union Pines, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Scotland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Union Pines struggles in that department as they've averaged .483. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
