Basketball Recap: Royal Oak Comes Up Short

Royal Oak lost against Bloomfield Hills back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Royal Oak Ravens fell 43-35 to the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bloomfield Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Briana Young, who went 6-for-9 on her way to 15 points and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Young has scored at least a third of Bloomfield Hills' points. Another player making a difference was Evia Barbu, who posted 15 points.

Royal Oak now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Bloomfield Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal Oak will host Robichaud at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bloomfield Hills, they will welcome Detroit International Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
