The Burkburnett Bulldogs will square off against the Jacksboro Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Burkburnett is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.

Burkburnett is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a blow against Holliday on Friday, falling 56-18. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 874th, while the Eagles are ranked 365th).

Brody Boyd put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes.

Despite the defeat, Jacksboro got top-tier performance from Luke Sams, who rushed for 174 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries. Sams' longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Cannon Valenzuela also played a phenomenal game despite the final result: he picked up 130 receiving yards.
