If San Mateo was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of El Camino on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats lost 3-0 to the Mills Vikings on Thursday. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While San Mateo ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

San Mateo now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Mills, they pushed their record up to 14-15 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
