Volleyball Game Preview: Allatoona Buccaneers vs. Harrison Hoyas

The Allatoona Buccaneers are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Harrison Hoyas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Allatoona didn't have quite enough to beat Central and fell 2-1. While the Buccaneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-16 in the first set.

Allatoona actually scored more points across those three sets (60-58), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Harrison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cartersville.

Allatoona's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Allatoona skirted past Harrison 2-1 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
