Baseball Recap: Windham Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Windham's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Gorham Rams on Thursday. The loss leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Windham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Pastore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those hits marked the first that Pastore has got this season.

Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gorham, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Windham is set to square off against their familiar foe Falmouth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Gorham will challenge rival Biddeford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 0.5, the Tigers 0.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
