After a string of 12 wins, Klein Cain's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Magnolia West Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 7-0.

Klein Cain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Mayon, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Klein Cain's loss dropped their record down to 15-7-3. As for Magnolia West, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Klein Cain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Magnolia West, they will take on Tomball at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
