Softball Recap: Mars Hill Bible Gets the Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Mars Hill Bible ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats 4-2. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kelsie McDaniel spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Molly Wright was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Keeli Mullins was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Mars Hill Bible's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Mars Hill Bible Panthers take on Colbert Heights Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colbert Heights will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Mars Hill Bible surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will face off against St. John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
