Chesapeake faced Northeast in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Northeast, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-4.

Coming up, Chesapeake will venture away from home to square off against Arundel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
