Soccer Game Preview: Eaglecrest vs. Smoky Hill

The Eaglecrest Raptors will head out to take on the Smoky Hill Buffalo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Eaglecrest and six for Smoky Hill.

On Saturday, Eaglecrest came up short against Rocky Mountain and fell 4-2.

Alana Rodriguez and Sierra Davis scored both of the Raptors' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Smoky Hill fell victim to Rock Canyon and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Smoky Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Rock Canyon are ranked seventh).

Eaglecrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-9-3. As for Smoky Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
