Basketball Recap: Raton Takes a Loss

Raton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 55-26 defeat at the hands of the Pecos Panthers. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-6.

Raton's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Pecos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raton will take on Clayton at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pecos, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
