League recap: Cousins's hitting boosts Kingman/Norwich

Central Kansas league recap: 5/7/12

Will Cousins was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .579 average, two home runs and 12 RBIs. Meanwhile, Kingman/Norwich put together a 4-0 week.

In the ongoing battle for first place, Pratt beat Nickerson this week, 6-5 on May 1, 2012. Pratt sits in first place in the league at 13-1 (13-1 overall).

The Eagles's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 40 hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories. Kingman/Norwich's pitchers have been charged with only 104 hits and have struck out 151 batters. Trey Johnson is tops on the staff with 58 Ks.
