Basketball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Lejeune Devil Pups, falling 64-19. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Devil Pups from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Lejeune's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devon Charles, who went 5 for 11 en route to 16 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The contest was Charles' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Connor Shea, who posted 13 points and six assists.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lejeune, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Jones has already played their next game (against East Carteret), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lejeune didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-42 win against Northside - Pinetown on the 29th.
