After a string of four wins, Southside Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 67-21 loss at the hands of the Powdersville Patriots. The Sabres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.

Powdersville was led to victory by Raegan Bryant and Makayla Assemian. Bryant went 10 of 19 en route to 26 points in addition to six assists and four steals, while Assemian dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The match was Assemian's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Davidson, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points and seven boards.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Powdersville, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will face off against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Powdersville, they will square off against St. Joseph's Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
