Lindbergh and Highline are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Eagles will host the Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Lindbergh is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Lindbergh is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since May 3, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Sammamish by a score of 8-6.

Aaron Melendres-Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Orlando Dumlao, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Highline made easy work of Foster on Wednesday and carried off a 12-2 victory. With that win, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Anthony Cassarino and Josiah JoJo Barron did most of the damage at the plate: Cassarino went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Barron scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lindbergh now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Highline, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lindbergh has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Highline struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Lindbergh skirted past Highline 7-6 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
