Volleyball Recap: Lapwai Takes a Loss

Lapwai lost against Troy last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Trojans.

Skylin Picard paced Lapwai's offense, picking up seven kills. Picard got some help from Madden Bisbee and her 20 assists. Finally, Lois Oatman kept Lapwai's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Lapwai's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Troy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Lapwai has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Prairie on the 20th. As for Troy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Kamiah on the 22nd.
