Basketball Recap: Academy of Our Lady Comes Up Short

Academy of Our Lady was the 44-34 winner over Belle Chasse when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Academy of Our Lady Penguins came up short against the Belle Chasse Cardinals on Saturday, falling 54-29.

Academy of Our Lady has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Belle Chasse, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Our Lady will challenge Willow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Belle Chasse, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against St. Charles Catholic at 5:00 p.m. St. Charles Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Belle Chasse surely won't give up without a fight.
