Baseball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Crestwood's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crestwood can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mid Valley Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Comets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chris Litchkofski was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Crestwood moved to 13-10 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Mid Valley, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4.
