Pembroke Hill might be getting used to good results now that the squad has eight wins in a row. Last Friday, they narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Summit Christian Academy 12-10. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Meanwhile, Van Horn took an ego-bruising defeat against Summit Christian Academy two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Van Horn were fully in charge, breezing past University Academy Charter 48-12. Followers of Van Horn probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
The last time the two teams met, Pembroke Hill won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Van Horn 33-32. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
