Baseball Game Preview: North Iredell Raiders vs. Statesville Greyhounds

For the second straight game, North Iredell will face off against Statesville. The Raiders will welcome the Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in North Iredell's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Statesville has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

North Iredell is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over Statesville on Wednesday. Considering the Raiders have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Statesville's part, Jaiden Burch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Mallacoccio, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

North Iredell's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Statesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
