Baseball Recap: South Wake Gets the Win

South Wake hadn't done well against Non Varsity Opponent recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Sabres walked away with a 12-9 win over Non Varsity Opponent. This was a revenge game for the Sabres: when they faced off against Non Varsity Opponent two weeks ago, they had to take a 16-12 defeat.

Caden Collins was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Seth Kirk was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

South Wake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in six consecutive games.

South Wake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
